The Washington Space Business Roundtable is pleased to announce its second luncheon meeting for May 2017 – In-Flight Connectivity for Airlines. The In-Flight Connectivity Market for the aviation industry is steadily growing stronger each year. This growth trend is made possible due to Internet connections with increasing throughput, which is provided by various delivery methods including ground to air systems and Geostationary satellites. The demand is coming from consumers for increased passenger connectivity since the traveling public wants to be able to enjoy the same level of Internet access and connectivity that they utilize on the ground. Significant improvements in the aircraft antenna field are fueling a major push in the technology and antenna options. Aviation industry analysts estimate that this sector will see significant increases in consumer demand and profitability for providers over the next ten years. The connectivity market is no longer limited to airline provided video entertainment services for the passengers. Increasingly more specialty services like electronic flight bags, weather for the cockpit and in-flight tracking tools are delivered to the aircraft via satellite alongside the latest movies and Internet games.
Please join the Washington Space Business Roundtable for an engaging panel discussion with industry experts on Thursday, May 25, 2017, 11:30AM to 1:30PM, at the offices of Hogan Lovells, located at 555 Thirteenth Street, NW in Washington, DC. The Editor of Avionics Magazine, Woodrow Bellamy II, will moderate the discussion.
